Why is it that it is (nearly) always the men that do the cooking at the barbecue? It may actually be the ONLY time they cook, but up and down the country it is usually Dad who is there controlling the sausages and chops as if his life depended on it!
It is fitting then that Father’s Day is in the Summertime (and probably why Mother’s Day is in the Spring, just as the flowers are in coming out in full bloom).
