Well, another school year is behind us. As the saying goes, ‘they’re the best years of your life’, so why not capture the memories before some are forgotten forever? My eldest son has just finished primary school and is itching to start senior school in September when he really will be a ‘big boy’. For us parents (and I’m sure some of the kids too), that last day at primary school was a bit emotional. It will be the same when leaving senior school and university too.
That last day was made even more special when one of my son’s friends gave him a small phpoto album as a keepsake (she’d secretly done one for each of her classmates) and put in it loads of photos over the years which included my son. The photos ranged from recent school trips, sporting activities, and right back to that very first nativity play when he wore on old sheet and tea towel round his head. Aaaah. Was he really that small all those years ago? I for one, will make sure that little photo album is treasured for ever!
When I came across these little books they got my brain thinking. What a fabulous little book to give to someone who is perhaps starting school this September or going off to University. The books can be personalised with a name and photo to make them a really special gift, and each have 30 quality pages to store pictures or other mementos, or photos. I’ve bought 2 for my sons and am going to secretly fill them with cuttings from the school newsletters, photos and other souvenirs so that I can give them to the boys as a keepsake from now to the end of their school years. Just wish I’d seen them before they started school!
